Access to the above databases is based on IP authentication. All MBRSG registered library users have unlimited access on the campus network including the wi-fi. Please contact the librarian for individual user ID and Passwords to access these resources remotely or through your mobile devices.

Open Learning Resources

The library is equipped with latest computers providing access to the Internet, Microsoft Applications, and Statistical Databases. These computers are also connected to the central printing services.

Reference and Lending Services

Library provides active reference and lending services during operating hours. Readers are encouraged to consult the librarian to locate the desired material and lending books.

Inter-Library Cooperation

If a particular article or research paper is not found in our subscribed databases, the library can acquire it through its inter-library lending network. Please forward your inquiries on document delivery services to the librarian. Your request will be responded with 24 hours.

Information Literacy Skills

Library has an active information literacy skills enhancement program. The program enables students to improve their information literacy skills for lifelong learning. It helps them find, evaluate, and use the needed information effectively.

The mission of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government library is to support teaching, research, and lifelong learning by utilizing the best possible resources and latest information technologies.

The library aims to be a knowledge resource center for the region on issues related to public policy and administration. The library has established the following specific objectives in order to achieve the above stated mission:

Develop a core collection of materials such as books, periodicals, and electronic resources to cater for the academic and research needs of the School
Employ highly qualified and experienced staff to effectively manage its resources and services
Develop strong relationships with local and regional libraries for inter-library resource sharing;
Respond to the diverse and changing needs of its faculty, staff, students and researchers by utilizing the best information technology infrastructure and knowledge resources; and,
Provide information literacy programs to enhance lifelong learning in a knowledge-based economy.

Library Collections

The library has development very specialized, high quality, and up-to-date collection of more than 6000 books. The books cover subject areas related to public policy and public administration. Some of the main subject areas are:

A separate section is established to support the leadership initiative. This section consists of the best books on leadership from leading publishers.

6 books each for 2 weeks

Faculty

8 books each for 1 month

Research Associates

8 books each for 1 month

Staff

4 books each for 2 weeks

Lending Rules

Users must produce a valid MBRSG ID card to borrow books
Periodicals, current and back issues, are not to be issued
Reference books cannot be borrowed and taken out of the library
A user may renew a book if it is not requested by any other user
A fine of 1.00 DH per day may be imposed if an item is not
Returned within the due date.
Lost or damaged material will have to be paid by the user

General Rules

All users are expected to observe silence and keep their mobiles in silent mode so that other readers do not feel distracted.
Copyright laws are strictly observed while making potocopies of any materials.
