MBRSG Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai South

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai South to collaborate in nurturing Emirati talent, supporting good governance in the UAE and the Arab world, and building future leaders within various policy-related fields. 

His Excellency Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, and Ahmed Al Ansari, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Dubai South, signed the agreement at the Dubai South offices in the presence of representatives from both entities.

Under the terms of the MoU, Dubai South will support employees keen on pursuing a Master’s Degree programs offered by the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government. The partnership will also result in cooperation between the two parties in the development of research studies, as well as workshops, seminars and conferences. The aim is to leverage the employees’ skills to step up efficiencies in their respective positions and achieve innovation that will contribute to the achievement of their organization’s strategic objectives. 

Speaking on the MoU, His Excellency Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri said: “With increasing technological advancements, the need for a qualified and capable management team is now more critical than ever before, especially in light of our leadership’s call to enhance the UAE’s efforts in achieving excellence across different sectors. This agreement articulates the commitment of both our organizations to contribute to Dubai’s economic growth through building an effective knowledge-based partnership that aligns seamlessly with the Dubai Plan 2021. The two sides will enhance productive cooperation and jointly drive efforts to help to achieve this plan.” 

Furthermore, the synergy is in line with the UAE government’s call to strengthen knowledge-based partnerships and cooperation among all government entities in the country. 

Commenting on the occasion, Ahmed Al Ansari, Acting CEO, Dubai South said: “At Dubai South, we firmly believe that human capital development should be a crucial component in any organization’s strategy. In signing this agreement with MBRSG, we are equipping our employees with the tools needed to understand complex problems and craft suitable solutions. Furthermore, we are enabling them to provide high-quality services to our customers on par with international standards in line with our long-term strategic objectives.” 

He added: “Our partnership with MBRSG reflects our mission to constantly improve our organizational systems with the aim of increasing productivity, as well as boosting employee and client happiness. All this while always keeping up with the most important trends in the field of management and governance.”
