MBRSG Signs MoU with Arab Administrative Development Organization


The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a research and teaching institution specializing in public policy in the Arab world, has signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) to collaboratively train and empower professionals in Arab institutions and share expertise in areas of public administration and scientific research.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ali Sebaa Al-Marri, Executive President of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, and Dr. Nasser Al-Hattlan Qahtani, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, in the presence of Professor Raed Awamleh, Dean of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, and Ali al-Jarrah, Regional Head of ARADO in the UAE.

Under the partnership, the two organizations will seek to enhance key areas of government management development sciences by holding collaborative workshops, programs and training activities on latest trends in government and corporate excellence.

With the objective of advancing government departments in the Arab region, the various training activities will outline and examine the strategies, methodologies and challenges in restructuring government services and achieving and building sustainable excellence. The workshops and programs will additionally explore the diverse execution strategies and impact of government initiatives. 

As an early outcome of the MoU, the two organizations will hold a workshop in May 2016 to develop the professional capacities and knowledge of senior government leaders in the Arab region. The workshop will also explore techniques to achieve organizational excellence based on scientific and academic concepts.

Furthermore, participants of the workshop will develop leadership capabilities by identifying leadership qualifications and requirements. The experts will also be given opportunities to inculcate effective management skills to address challenges and achieve departmental objectives. On the institutional-front, the session will introduce participants to various impactful regional and global initiatives and strategies, and guide them to examine the importance of innovation in improving government services.   

Commenting on the partnership, His Excellency Dr. Ali Sebaa’ Al-Marri, Executive President of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, said: "We are delighted to partner with the Arab Administrative Development Organization. For his part, Dr. Nasser Al-Hattlan Qahtani, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, said: "Our new partnership with MBRSG reinforces our objective to develop leadership capacities and help senior officials and institutions reach the highest levels of excellence. We are confident that the activities and programs offered by the MBRSG will continue to professionalize the methods of practical management adopted by government and non-governmental organizations in the region and encourage innovation and excellence in these sectors. "

He further said: "We look forward to collaborating with the School and contributing to the development of young leaders in the country and the wider region. We believe that spreading the culture of management science is an important step in establishing a promising future that assures happiness for every stakeholder."

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government is committed to promoting good governance through enhancing the region’s capacity for effective public policy.
