The Distinguished Speaker
Dr. Sloan is principal of Sloan International Inc., a New York-based global executive development firm specializing in strategic thinking for corporations operating in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. Among the roster of strategic thinking clients are seven of the “Top Ten Most Innovative Companies.” Serving as a professor, consultant and speaker, she draws upon more than two decades of her own corporate expatriate and international executive development experience in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
The Talk
Businesses, institutions, and governments around the globe want and need to develop leaders who can responsibly set an innovative and sustainable path for the future. The problem is —leaders are often criticized for not being good strategic thinkers, but rarely do they (or their bosses) know what to do to improve. In addressing this critical problem, she impels leaders to move beyond strategic planning and implementation models to a more expansive, and complex notion of strategy that includes innovation and perpetual change.
