UAE PUBLIC POLICY FORUM 2017

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the first edition of the UAE Public Policy Forum focusing on “Future Direction of Education Policy”. The forum will be hosting regional and global industry experts to directly address the future challenges, opportunities and direction of education policies in the UAE and across the region. Taking place on March 12th and 13th 2017, the two days forum will focus on a range of key topics, including and not limited to:

OVERVIEW

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government UAE Public Policy Forum is the UAE’s leading academic forum on public policy issues. It brings together a diverse number of world-class experts from the education sector regionally and globally to directly address the future challenges, opportunities and direction of education policy. In light of the fact that education has been, and continues to be a key driver for tangible progress and development in the UAE, the public policy forum on Education will focus on the roles of public and private sector in education provisions, capacity building in the sector, impact of reforms and how innovation and technology are being leveraged to improve outputs in the education sector.

Education has been established by the leaders of the UAE as one of the pillars of social and cultural, social and economic. In the GCC, education has drawn the attention of major stakeholders to local, regional and international issues. The UAE has adopted a successful education strategy which enables them to achieve the objectives of the National Agenda 2020 and to optimize the benefits of developments toward a more holistic approach to pedagogy. ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government is a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy and effective governance in the Arab world. Established in 2005 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, the School aims to promote good governance through enhancing the region’s capacity for effective public policy.
