HE Dr Anwar Gargash Addresses ‘Zayed Future Leaders’ at DSG
“The UAE is undoubtedly one of the most successful countries worldwide and we should all work to maintain this effective model. Our society emphasizes education and openness, which supported by material resources, have helped us accomplish our goals in social development such as creating new job opportunities within a short period of time,” said His Excellency Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at DSG.
His Excellency Gargash added: “I particularly take pride in the fact that despite our fast-paced development in the UAE, social values have not changed. Taking inspiration from our leaders, we must constantly remind ourselves of the golden rules for success - humility, knowledge, teamwork, and deliberation. This will allow us to play active roles and leave a positive imprint in the society.”
His Excellency Gargash’s comments came at a special session held under the title ‘Success Story’. The event is an initiative of ‘Zayed Future Leaders’ under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program. In line with DSG’s commitment to improving the performance of professionals in the public sector, The ‘Success Story’ series seeks to enhance the problem solving and managerial decision-making skills of the employees at Sheikh Zayed Housing Program.
The event was attended by senior executives from Dubai School of Government, including His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Executive President, Mohammed Hassan Al Khatib, Director of Support Services; Professor Bassem Younis, Director of Academic Affairs; and Aisha Sultan Al Shamsi, Manager - Executive Education. Representatives from the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program included Mohamed Abdulaziz Jasim, Acting Director General; Nora Saleh Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Support Services; and Abdullah Khamis Al Khadim, Executive Director for Engineering.
As part of his talk, His Excellency Gargash offered advice, drawing upon the knowledge gained from his experience on a range of topics such as the importance of identifying talent, art of business administration and teamwork.
