MBRSG Signs Agreement with Family Development Centers Department in Sharjah

The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), the first research and teaching institution focusing on governance and public policy in the Arab world, has signed an agreement with the Family Development Centers Department in Sharjah – an affiliate of the emirate’s Supreme Council for Family Affairs – to streamline and multiply efforts to empower and improve the national workforce.

As per the accord, the School is set to offer scholarships for its Masters’ programmes to select employees nominated by the Department. The courses introduce participants to the latest theories, practices and approaches in government excellence, helping them develop and sharpen the skills required to face the pressing challenges that face their institutions.

MBRSG’s Executive President His Excellency Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri said: “We are always delighted to work together with our partners in the government to achieve our common goals and develop public policies and governance by investing in human capital, establishing a culture of excellence and innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of government agencies and the quality of their services.”

Commenting on the agreement, Her Excellency Mody Al Shamsi, Director and General Manager of the Family Development Centre, noted: “This new accord with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government allows us to create a fertile ground for government services to evolve and meet the UAE’s aspirations, building bridges of meaningful partnership. We are working to spread knowledge and empower the national workforce, all the while continuing on the path of government excellence in the UAE and the wider region.”

For her part, Nadia Amanallah Kamali, Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, said: “The MoU with the Family Development Centers Department in Sharjah is an important step towards establishing a nation-wide network that facilitates the flow of knowledge and information. It is a stepping stone to a more empowered national workforce, allowing us to attract and retain new talent, as well as to sharpen their skills in accordance with international best practices.”

Elsewhere in the agreement, the two signatories agreed to organise interactive meetings, workshops, symposiums, conferences, creative programmes and field visits, among other activities rooted in government excellence and best practices.
