The Covid-19 pandemic triggered an intensification of the global race for talents, mainly by accelerating the digitisation and automation trends, already at play prior to the pandemic. These trends are not only changing the ways individuals work but also the types of jobs that are sought after globally. In light of this, Dubai must ensure it retains its local and foreign skilled workforce and is able to compete on a global stage to attract, enable and retain highly skilled individuals.
