Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) to support the growth of the creative economy across the region. The partnership lays the groundwork for collaborative research, tailored training programmes, and public engagement initiatives, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a leading cultural hub.
The agreement, signed by H.E. Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, and H.E. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, outlines a series of specialised workshops, seminars, panel discussions, conferences, and forums. It also includes joint efforts to develop public initiatives and support original research that informs decision-making within the cultural and creative industries (CCIs). Both organisations will share progress and insights through their platforms, fostering sustainability, inclusivity, and new opportunities for innovation. Additionally, the MoU seeks to enhance the capabilities of Dubai Culture’s team across multiple disciplines.
H.E. Hala Badri highlighted Dubai’s rising international profile, attributing this success to visionary leadership, forward-thinking policies, and an environment that cultivates talent and empowers future cultural leaders. She said: “Creative industries are a key driver of Dubai’s growth, opening new pathways for individuals with ideas and ambition to thrive.”
She added: “Our partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government will enable us to work closely and deliver high-quality studies that underpin policy development and spark innovation across creative fields. This joint effort will elevate Dubai’s standing on the global cultural stage and strengthen its position as a vibrant hub for creativity and cultural exchange.”
Badri also expressed pride in collaborating with MBRSG, emphasising the value of drawing on the school’s expertise and academic strengths. She noted that this agreement will help create new programmes, facilitate strategic planning, and establish platforms that attract creative talent from around the world.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), emphasized the importance of the partnership with the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), a leading institution in shaping the local cultural landscape and developing creative industries. He stated: “This Memorandum of Understanding reflects MBRSG’s commitment to supporting Dubai’s efforts to build an integrated knowledge-based and creative economy. By leveraging scientific research and executive training to qualify national talent and advance cultural policies, we aim to enhance Dubai’s competitiveness and align with its aspirations to become a global capital of culture and innovation.”
H.E. added: “This collaboration represents a strategic step toward institutional synergy, fostering a flexible and sustainable cultural ecosystem rooted in knowledge and innovation. It will support the development of policies and initiatives in the creative industries sector, contributing to the national economy, empowering cultural leaders, and advancing the UAE’s vision of regional and global leadership and excellence.”
